| The three-story, stone grist mill was erected by Cuthbert and Thomas Bullitt, Virginians, in 1817, under the supervision of Uriah Glover of New Jersey. In 1831, the Hamer brothers acquired the mill and Hugh Hamer operated it until his death in 1872. |
