Description:
These old columns on the campus of the Louisiana State Normal College are the front of the Bullard Plantation Home built in 1832. In 1857 the home became a part of the Ursuline Convent. During the Civil War after the Battle of Mansfield, the old home was used as a hospital. Later, when the property was transferred to the state, it became the home of the matron, Mrs. Agnes Scott Donaho.

Built in 1856. The Catholic Church played a dominant role in the early settlement of Natchitoches. In restoration the old bricks have been preserved. A lovely old crystal and garnet chandelier hangs from the interior of the church
