Indianapolis besides being the capital, is also known as the capital of auto racing.

Lake Monroe South Central Indiana The spillway as seen from the lake, is 600 feet wide at the base and 750 feet long. It required 992,000 cubic yards of excavation to build and has a discharge capacity of 73,760 cubic feet per second. Lake Monroe covers approximately 10,750 acres.

"The Shades" Indiana's most picturesque summer resort. "The Shades," Ind. The lacy flow of water suggests the title of Bridal Veil. Falling from a height of nearly 70 feet. clear, sparkling water gently glides over moss covered bed rock, and forms a filmy veil upon it. Bridal Veil is of unique profile, for in addition to its dome shape, it is also bell in form. Regged rocks border it on either side. Towering trees in the hanging valley above form a background for this crystal falls.

The water from these ravines have cut the huge cavity known as the "Devils Punch Bowl." The phenomena is 100 feet below its surroundings.
