Description:
Architect's sketch of Indiana's "Circus City" Civic Center, nearing completion by 1970. Home of Circus City Festival held annually 3rd week of July. Evening performance at 8 P.M., with a matinee at 2 P.M. following a big street parade at 10 A.M. on Saturday. Wallace Circus first wintered here about 1870. Peru was winter quarters for seven of the world's major circuses. At the site of one of these is now the Paul Kelly animal farm.
