Description:
This is the third building on the same location. This structure was completed the centennial year of Paris (1923). The original church organization was August 29th, 1833. The first, temporary, structure was constructed in 1836 being one of the earliest established churches of Henry County, Tennessee.

No country ever had truer sons,No cause noble champions ,No people bilder defenders.The battle of paris was fought March 11 th ,1862,in the vicinity of Forest heights,on the West margin of the city.H.Clay King's First Kentucky Battalion of Cavalry with Stack's and McCutchen's unattached companish of Tennessee Cavalry,were the Confederate defenders.Confederate losses were some twenty killed and wounded ,the U.S.Forces lost some sixty to eighty men including the commander opf their Cavalry and the captain of their battery of artillery
