Description:
The First Lutheran congregation originated from the former St. John's Evangelical (present) Church. The original St. John's was organized June 6, 1893, dedicating this building October 9, 1927. Present First Lutheran Church reorganized Jan. 17, 1934. Member ship 400.

Description:
The First Methodist Church was organized in 1790. Land purchased November 7, 1904. Building started October 29, 1909. Cornerstone laid November 28, 1909 and church dedicated January 27, 1911. Both exterior and interior architectural style follows closely the Gothic. The glory of the sanctuary is a massive dome in the center with art-glass windows and towers, seating 850.
