All Aboard! And we're off on the Toonerville Trolley for an exciting journey a 6 mile ride through a thick primeval Forest, the natural habitat of deer, bear, other wild animals, and birds. The trolley takes you to Hunter's Mill whre the stately River Boats are boarded for a 21 mile scenic cruise down the Tahquamenon River. The River boats, largest and finest on the Tahquamenon, embark from the upper part of the river whrer wildlife is most abundant. The Captain calls your attention to points of interest and wildlife along the banks. On board, the famous “Paul Bunyan Hamburgers” are served along with other sandwiches and refreshments at popular prices. Capt. Joe Beach Pioneer of the Tahquamenon River. The wonderful experiences of being a game warden, and a guide on the Tahquamenon River, led Capt. Joe to originate the first Toonerville Trolley and river trip back in 1927. Today his son, Capt. “R. J.,” is on hand to welcome you abouard, offering you the skill of more than 25 years of crusising on the River

Blizzard of 1978. On February 6th, 1978 the metropolitan Boston area was hit with a blizzard that dumped over 2? feet of snow and virtually brought everything that moved to a halt. One of the first lines to get moving was the MBTA's Riverside line. Pictured here is plow 5123, a product of 1907, bucking drifts and level snow over 30 inches deep. It has taken almost 6 hours to come from Kenmore Station out to Newton Highlands. February 9, 1978.

Description:
Standard car No. 58 Built 1928 by E. c. t. In 1893 Edinburgh Corporation purchased 11 1/2 of the 18 route miles of horse tramways developed since 1871 by the Edinburgh Street Tramway Co Ltd. Three years later the Corporation also purchased the two cable tramways which had been inaugurated in 1888 by the Edinburgh Northern Tramways Company. All the tramways in the City were then leased to the Edinburgh & District Tramways Co. Ltd. which converted the horse tramways to cable traction in the following years

Description:
4 - Wheel Balcony car No. 22. from 1880 - 1900 horse trams of the Derby Tramways Co. Ltd. operated four principal routes along the Ashbourne, London, Mormanton and Osmaston roads, nearly five route miles in all. The system was municipalised in 1900 and electrified on 4 ft. gauge in 1904, with new routes and extensions in 1905 - 08. Eventually eight routes reaiating from the center of the town were worked by 74 double - deck cars and four single deck cars. The 14 route miles of electric tramway were replaced by trolley buses in 1932 - 34.

Description:
Among the last conventional type trolleys purchased by the Montreal Tramways Company of Montreal, Canada, were the 25 cars of the 2650 class, built by the Canadian Car & Foundry company, Ltd., of Montreal in 1930. Seashore's 2652 is one of this group, which was designed for operation in trains of two cars. It is the only car of this class to be preserved and is among the jewels in the collection of Montréal cars at the "World's Oldest and Largest Electric Railway Museum."

Carefully restored to original condition by Ronald Parente, it glides over the Museum's operating railway where more than 40 electric railway cars, 'from horse car to streamliner' are on display. This ""drop center"" type car shown here in the brilliant colors of the 20's was once a familiar sight on Cleveland streets. It was built in 1913 by the G.C. Kuhiman Car Co. of Cleveland and was frequently employed pulling trailers. Later, it was operated in 6-car trains on the Shaker Heights Rapid Transit. At one time there were 201 cars of this type in Cleveland. No. 1225 may be viewed and ridden at Gerald E. Brookins Trolleyville, U.S.A., 7100 Columbia Rd., State Route 252, Olmsted Falls, Ohio, near Gate #9, Ohio Turnpike. 16 historical trolleys on display

Once a familiar sight in the City of Brotherly Love, this so-called ""Nearside"" car from Philadelphia is one of the trolleys of yesteryear preserved at the Seashore Trolley Museum at Kennebunkport, Maine. No. 6618 was built by J.G. Brill of Philadelphia in 1912. Because its trucks were designed for the city's track gauge of 5 ft. 2 1/4 in., they had to be rebuilt so the car could be operated on Seashore's standard (4 ft. 8 1/2 in.) gauge trackage.
