Fasciated forms of Sahuaro ,as pictured here ,are the result of some sort of bruise or wound. It has been observed that when the surfaced of the Surface of the Sahuaro is broken numbers of branch buds grow out instead of one as innormal growth; thus foming various interesting symetrical or grotesque shapes.
