Inside at the left stands the Seven Golden Candlesticks, and at the right, the Table of Showbread, with the Golden Altar standing in the centre at the back. This is where the angel fortold the birth of John the Baptist - Luke 1). "Holy of Holies" Two life size cherubims in hand work on pretty drapes make up the Veil. (This was rent when Christ died on the cross (Matt. 27:45-51). This "Veil" hangs on four Golden Pillars, with bases of silver.
