Standing at the head of the park, under the pilgrim Monument. It is seventy feet long, by twenty feet high, and cost $40,000.00. The Bas-Relief, nine by sixteen feet, was designed by C. E. Dallin, and cast by The Gorham Corporation, and represents the scene in the cabin of the "May flower," during the signing of the compact. The structure is of finished Rockport granite, and of the finest workmanship, and is a worthy tribute to the memory or the founders of our country, to whose memory it is erected.
