Just below Crystal Spring, the Roanoke Gas and Water Company have built a fine reservoir of concrete, about 225 by 175 by 20 feet in size; it is surrounded by an iron fence and adorned with an artistic fountain. Roanoke is supplied with water from Crystal Spring, which gushes forth from the foot of Mill Mountain at the rate of 6,000,000 gallons per day.
