By a special act of the Legislature in 1895, Mr. Pillsbury was made regent for life. The Machine and Forge Shop contains tools, gauges, stationary and portable forges and all equipments used in blacksmithing. The Shop for patternmaking and general wood-work contains benches with vises and tools, sawing machines, etc., and all hand tools used in carpentry and pattern-making.
