Nathanial Greene, the Revolutionary hero, and his son lie buried beneath the imposing monument erected in his honor.

Historic bonaventure, Savannah, on the Wilmington river, five miles from the center of the city. About 1760 was the home of Colonel John Mullryne, a noted militant Tory. Since 1847 it has been a burial ground and is noted as one of the most beautiful spots in all the South. Huge evergreen trees heavily festooned with Spanish moss give the place a fairyland beauty.
