Largest in the World. The Largest Mill In The World: Amoskeag No. 11, has 404,498 square feet of floor space upon which are operated 4,000 looms, of the 18,500 looms owned by the Amoskeag Company. No, 11 is a weaving mill exclusively using the product of the 550,000 spindles of the Amoskeag. 4,100,000 yards of cotton and 462,500 yards of woolen goods are turned out weekly by Amoskeag Mills. 47 million pounds of cotton and 9 million pounds of wool are turned into cloth each year.
