Description:
This magnificent building is the home of Canton Art Institute, The Players Guild Theatre, Gail Watson Cable Recital Hall and the Great Court. The Center is a gift of the Timken Foundation and was built on the Harter E state at a cost of over 10 million dollars. On the same property are the Exhibition Hall and Canton Memorial Auditorium.

Description:
Canton McKinley - "Where Champions are made and success is tradition." - is located on 3.44 acres of land, and has 6.21 across of floor space. There are over 200 rooms with a capacity of 2500 pupils. It is named for President William McKinley, 25th President of the U.S., and his sister, Anna, who taught in the Canton Schools for 30 years. In 1918 when it was half completed 877 students were enrolled, the remaining half was completed in 1921. The highest enrollment has been 4100 students. The school has a teaching staff of 101 plus office personnel. It is known for its championship athletic teams called the Bull Dogs. The school colors are red and black. The annual is known as the McKinley; the school paper, The McKinley Times.

This modern brick and glass air conditioned structure houses Canton's City Government and is located two blocks from the City Square. Canton is the hub of a metropolitan area of 250.000 and is located in the heart of Northeastern Ohio South of Lake Erie on U. S. routes 30 and 62 and is 1,065 feet above sea level.

Description:
This shrine is the brainchild of sports writer Germane Swanson and was financed with funds contributed by fans of the great game across the nation. It is located in the Canton Park System on 14 wooded across in the N. W. section of the city next to Canton Expressway (Rt. 77). It is a two building complex which features a 52 foot dome - a stylized architectural impression of a football. The dramatic mural sculptured in copper over the entrance was hand-hammered by Dale Drulis and weighs over 800 lbs. While Latrobe, Pa. is considered the real home of Professional football, Canton, Ohio is where the National Football League was founded in 1920. In addition, the first football championships were decided here. It is also where Jim Thorpe had first stirred national interest in the great game.

Located at the foot of McKinley Monument at 749 Hazlet, Avenue in N. W. Canton. Included in the Center is the Historical Museum, Hoover-Price Planetarium, Hall of Science and Industry and Health Education Center. Artifacts from the early life of Canton are in abundance with one room devoted to William McKinley, 25th President of the U. S. A., which features a large photomural of the President taken during one of his famous "front porch" speeches when he campaigned for President. Delegations from all over journeyed to Canton to hear his oratory - something now gotten by sight and sound in your own home via TV.

Serves vocational education in 17 areas of training for business and industry, and was the Timken Foundation. The new school was completed in 1939 on the site of old Central High. This half acre plot has been in continuous use for educational purposes since the early 1800's. The school colors are blue and gold, the athletic teams are known as the trogons and the school annual is called the T I V O. The function of T.V.H.S. was aptly described by Mr. H. H. Timkin, Sr., founder of the Timken Foundation "To fit particularly the young people who do not and can not go to college, to be in a better position to gain a livelihood."

The city square was laid out Sept. 5, 1805, by Bezaieel Wells, the founder of Canton. The first building was the Market House, now turned over to the Fire Department, The Public Square is the centre of the city, which extends 10,720 feet to the north, 10,620 feet east, 14,020 feet south, and 13,320 feet west of the Square, the latter being 120 feet wide.
