Bellevue Ave. & Bowery St. The latest house to be acquired by The Preservation Society of Newport County, this charming Victorian Cottage was built in 1839 by Richard Upjohn for George Noble Jones of Savannah, Georgia. It was acquired by William Henry King in 1864 when it received its present name. The celebrated McKim, Mead & White dining room was added in 1881. The house contains Tiffany glass windows and fixtures, original furnishings including Townsend and Goddard furniture, and outstanding paintings and porcelains acquired by Mr. King who had been engaged in the China trade.
