The old Klinkert Brewery was established in Racine, Wisconsin, in 1873, by Ernest Klinkert, and until the enactment of the Prohibition Law, enjoyed a prosperous business. The name "Klinkert" has been favorably known in Racine and its environs for the past 60 years, so that a preferred demand is believed to exist for the Company's product. Racine is the second largest city in Wisconsin and has a population of about 70,000 inhabitants.
