Church of Jesus Christ of latter-day Saints, is located at new Chapel, surrey, England, about 26 miles south of London. The Temple is 84 feet wide and 159 feet long, the tower rising above the ground approximately 157 feet, and the spire extends 33 feet above the stone tower base. The building is made of reinforced concrete and structural steel. The walls above the ground are of brick masonry and faced with cut Portland limestone. The London Temple was dedicated on Sunday, September 7, 1958, by President David O. McKay.

Description:
The Thames, as viewed from the eminence of the upper footway of the Tower Bridge, 142 feet above high water level, presents a picture of one of the most animated waterways in the world. It includes the upper portion of turner's beloved Port of London with its lines of wharves, its forest of masts and funnels, its dashing steamers and cumbersome barge traffic - a wonderful scene. The view depicted shows London Bridge, the Monument, and numerous spires of City churches, backed by the massive dome of St. Paul's Cathedral.

St. Paul's Cathedral is the central object and one of the most prominent features of present day London. Its massive dome (the cross is 365 feet above the ground) towers above all its surroundings, and gives an impressive of grandeur appropriate to the first ecclesiastical building in England. the present edifice was begun by Sir Christopher Wren in 1674, after the destruction of the old building in the Great Fire of London, 1666.

Description:
Cheapside, Chepe--of the Middle Ages--and one of the most ancient and historic streets in London, extends from St. Paul's to the Mansion House, and has always been a street of traders, John Gilpin, of ballad fame, was a "linendraper bold" of Cheapside. Here stood one of the Eleanor Crosses, which the Puritans pulled down in 1643.

Crowded and noisy as is Ludgate Hill, it nevertheless gives us one of the best and most memorable views of Saint Paul's Cathedral. Near the bottom of Ludgate Hill is La Belle Sauvage Yard formerly an inn; now it contains the huge printing offices of Cassell & Company. Here, where now the Ludgate Hill Railway Viaduct crosses the street, stood once Lud Gate, one of the five ancient gates of London.

Description:
This is one of the most charming views in London, and the whole great mass of buildings (covering twice the area of the old palace of Edward the Confessor which once stood here) is seen at their very best, softened by the river mists. The Houses contain 11,000 rooms, and in the Clock Tower is the enormous bell known as Big Ben. Along the river front stand statues of all our English Sovereigns from William the Conqueror to Queen Victoria.

Description:
This is a fine erection in the style of the Arch of Constantine at Rome. It was built by Nash at a cost of 75,000 pounds, and placed by George IV, at the entrace of Buckingham Palace, but was removed to the north-east corner of Hyde Park in 1851. Just beyond it is the ancient district of Tyburn, Newgate's fore-runner as a place of public execution. The central bronze gates of the Marble Arch, which are of admirable workmanship, are only opened for the Sovereign to pass through.
