Made of bronze, this Kennedy Memorial bust stands in the forecourt of the International Students House in Park Crescent, London. More than 50,000 readers of the Sunday Telegraph Newspaper subscribed. ?13,000 to pay for it and was unveiled May 16, 1965 by the late Senator Robert Kennedy. Senator Edward Kennedy was also present at the unveiling ceremony, which took place shortly after the unveiling of the Kennedy Memorial at Runnymede by the Queen. This Memorial in Park Crescent was the first public statue of President Kennedy in London.

Description:
Ross Castle was at one time the stronghold of the O'Donoghue. It is a picturesque ivy-clad ruin, forming a conspicuous feature on Ross Island in the Lower Lake, Killarney. Originally it consisted of a massive square tower surrounded by an embattled wall with round flanking towers at each side, and was the scene of many sieges and battles during the struggle between James II. and William III.

Description:
Since A. D. 597, when St. Augustine landed in Kent, the site on which Canterbury Cathedral stands has been occupied by a Christian Church. The Present edifice dates from 1070, when the old Saxon church was rebuilt by Bishop Lanfranc. The Choir (the longest n England) was completed in 1184, and the Nave in 1380. The total length is 522 feet, and the centric tower is 235 feet high.

Rochester Cathedral from the North. Here, in a quiet meadow, starred with white and yellow flowers, one gets a good view of the ground plan of the Cathedral, which has the shape of a double cross. The present Cathedral is the fourth in order from the founder of the See. Justus, a follower of Augustine, and in this, its northern portion, may be seen the ruins of one of the towers of the second church, built b Gundulf in 1087.

Description:
Chichester Cathedral. This Cathedral dates from 1088 but the present edifice was mainly built from 1199 to 1500. In 1642 it suffered much from the Parliamentary Army and during recent years extensive restorations have been carried out. It is remarkable for the width of its Nave (91 feet wide). The internal length of the Cathedral is 393 feet, and the height of the spire 277 feet.

Of the original Cathedral (A. D. 1084) Little remains. The major part of the present edifice was built 1224 to 1400. It is cruciform with double transepts, the total length being 425 feet. During the Civil War the Cathedral Suffered great damage, but from 1700 until modern times restorations have been carried out with great success. The interior cont in a number of interesting monuments including the Tomb of King John.

York Cathedral: Unequalled for dignity and grandeur, York Minster takes first place amongst the Cathedrals of England. A wooden Church occupied the site in 627, and from then to 1080 when the present edifice was begun, several churches were built and destroyed. The greater part of the noble building of to-day was built during 1154 and 1474, the Cathedral being re-consecrated in 1472. The total length is 319 feet, and the breadth of Transept 223 feet. The Central Tower is 198 feet high, and 65 feet square.
