Cast by the Dutch firm of Petit & Fritsen, Ltd., of Aarle Rixtel, Holland, the bells of the Simon Goodman Memorial Carillon were heard daily by visitors to the Brussels World Fair. Housed in a 60-foot tower which stands in the center of Wilmington College Campus, the bells of the Simon Goodman Memorial Carillon have a total weight of 6,500 pounds. The largest bell of the carillon weighs 1,100 pounds, the smallest 20 pounds.
