Description:
This 125 ton mining shovel was manufactured by Bucyrus-Erie Co. to work on the iron range in 1924. It worked continually until 1965. Bucyrus-Erie Co., with headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisc., is the World's largest manufacturer of excavators and blast hole drillers for the mining industry. Donated by Hanna Mining Company.

Description:
This old and unusual steam-driven water pump was one of the first of its kind used for the purpose of pumping water from underground mines. Installed at the Monroe Mine, Chisholm, in 1904 and used continuously until 1929. During the years of operation it was also used to pump water from the mine to supply the city of Chisholm. The pump was operated 300 feet below the surface and had a capacity of 3600 gal. per hour - Entire pump weight 83 tons.
