Description:
The chapel honors Bishop Matthew Simpson, close friend and consultant of President Abraham Lincoln. Bishop Simpson attended mars. Lincoln on the death of president Lincoln and delivered the funeral oration. The unique cross over the altar was hand-carved especially for the chapel. Public worship services are conducted each Wednesday at noon by guest speakers, and the chapel is open daily to the public for prayer and meditation.
