| A view on Dog River. Dog River is a local name given to the Escatawpa River. It rises in Washington On Ala., and runs nearly south, passing into the State of Mississippi. It enters the Pascagoula River six miles form its mouth. These placid streams, with picturesque surroundings, abound in the South; some are scarcely, if at all, navigable. |
