Located 9 miles west of Alamogordo near the Great White Sands. This is the home of Rocket Research for the U. S. Air Force. Testing is done on the Alamogordo Bomb Range, famous for Trinity Site, "Birthplace of Atomic Energy," where the world's first Atomic Bomb was exploded on July 16, 1945.
