Kelso, the County seat of Cowlitz County, in the Southwestern part of Washington State, near, where the Cowlitz River joins the Columbia. Kelso is served by four major Railroads. The New Cowlitz Way Bridge, completed in 1952, has relieved much of the traffic at the Allen Street crossing.
