Additional Details:
Sixty-five years ago Chicago was a hamlet of less than 5000 persons. Today it is the second city of the continent and the fifth in the world in population, while in commerce it has been truly called "the greatest commercial city the world has ever seen." the combined output of its manufactures in 1905, were over $1,420,800,000, while its wholesale trade was $1,767,304,000. What wonder that this street in he heart of its wholesale district should be called the busiest street in the world.
