Description:
The federal offices, among which is the office of the Judge of the U. S. Court, are located in the Post Office. Opposite the post office is a stature of Judge Hardy, one of the outstanding pioneer citizens of south Mississippi, who started the gulf and ship Island railroad which was later taken over by Captain T. J. Jones and built from Gulfport to Jackson.
