Built in 1893, Glen Rose, Texas. "Home of the Dinosaurs" This historic structure, built for only $13,500 is typical of frontier days in Texas. An old log cabin was a the first court house, also used as the first public school. The bandstand and drinking fountain are built of native petrified rock. Embedded in a slab of rock in the bandstand is the footprint of one of the great 30-foot-long dinosaurs which roamed the Paluxy River Country 70,000,000 years ago.
