Description:
The Coffee Shop in the historic Old Talbott Tavern was built about 1779. It has thick stone walls, deep window casings, old built-in cupboards, heavy poplar ceiling timbers and old open fireplaces. Cooking was done in these fireplaces and the loft above was used as rooms for travelers, one room for women guests and the other for men. The Tavern is famous for Chicken and country Ham Dinners. Smoked Hams may be seen hanging from the ceiling.
