Daimler - 1894, the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village, This unwieldly horseless carriage was built in Germany in 1894 under the later famous name of Daimler. It's three and one-half horsepower, two cylinder engine made it no faster than a horse and much less dependable. The heavy, four-passenger Victoria is but one of more than 165 automobiles and trucks in the Henry Ford Museum.
