Description:
The Lake of the Ozarks is formed by a huge dam built across the Osage River near the town of bagel. The lake proper is 129 miles long, has a shore line of 1300 miles, and an area of 95 square miles. Every sport associated with water, mountain or woods is to be found. Resort facilities are excellent. Centrally located, approximately 160 miles west of St. Louis, 160 miles east of Kansas City and 46 miles south of Jefferson City, the State Capital. The Lake of the Ozarks area is reached by U. S. Highway 54 and Mo. Highway 5.
