Sullivan Trail and Roosevelt Highway, Route 6, Between Wyalusing and Towanda, Pa. Beautiful view of site of French Azilum from Marie Antoinette Lodge - 502 feet above river. On this site in 1793 a group of French Loyalists built a town, It was hoped that Queen Marie Antoinette might here find safety. The settlement was completed in about a year and at its peak consisted of about 40 or 50 houses.
