Series 15781 Municipal Auditorium, a $3,000,000 structure built by the City of Memphis and Shelby County. The Auditorium occupies an entire block in the heart of down town. Its mammoth amphitheater seats 12,500. It can be divided into two halls, one for 6,500, the other for 2,500. There are excellent facilities for entertaining great national conventions. The stage is one of the largest in the country. |
