President Reagan assists in lighting the Olympic flame at the White House as games preparations go on without Russia participating. Flown to the United States from Greece on a government jet, the Olympia flame burned bravely in rainy Manhattan and thence to Washington, D. c. as it continued its 9,000 mile journey to Los Angeles.
