This is the way the Indians have written Ten Sleep on the rocks in Ten Sleep Canyon, the two hands, Ten; and the Teepee Sleep; the circle, starting point, is the Shoshoni Reservation. Ten Sleep is located in a fertile irrigated valley at the foot of the west slope of the Big Horn Mountains, near the entrance to Ten Sleep Canyon. This is one of the most beautiful and picturesque canyons in the United States. It is on Atlantic Yellowstone Pacific Highway and U. S. No. 16 the shortest, most scenic and safest route to Yellowstone Park.
