The First Baptist church of Los Angeles, California, was organized in 1874. The present edifice with 106 rooms was completed in 1927. It contains an inspiring sanctuary seating 1900, a chapel seating 300, and a recreation hall seating 550. This building of Romanesque architecture is one of the most beautiful on the Pacific Coast. It is located at the corner of Eighth Street, Westmoreland and Leeward Avenues, two blocks south of ?Bullock's Wilshire.?
