Description:
This glorious assemblage of statesmen and patriots, portrayed in characteristic attitude, form a constellation of illustrious Virginians surrounding Washington, "the Central luminary." The base is designed as a six point star, on the rays of which are placed the statues of Jefferson, Henry, Marshall, Mason, Nelson and Lewis. In the distance is shown the Governor's Mansion, and in the right foreground the State Capitol Building.
