Comfort Virginia (VA), Chrome unused
Description:
Main Dock, Old Point Comfort, Virginia seen from Hotel Chamberlin - Originally built in 1862 for the landing of the Army of the Potomac when Maj. Gen. George B. McClellan tried to capture Richmond by advancing up the Virginia Peninsula. The island in left background is Ford Wool, which, with Fort Monroe, controlled the channel into Hampton Roads.
