Built in 1798, the historic Jed Prouty Tavern, Bucksport, Maine was the favorite hostelry of four presidents of the united States, who enjoyed its warm hospitality and good food. Combining the Old with the New, this famous tavern today offers the same friendly welcome and excellent cuisine. It was here that Richard Golden gathered material for his famous Broadway triumph, "Old Jed Prouty."
