National Recreation Area New Jersey and Pennsylvania. View shows just a small portion of the Delaware Water Gap Section of the Recreation Area. The Delaware River separates Mt. Tammany, left, on the New Jersey side, and Mt. Minsi in Pennsylvania forming the famous "Gap." Interstate Route 80 parallels the River and provides rapid and safe travel to and from the East's metropolitan areas. When completed, the Recreation Area will consist of 60,000 acres of land surrounding the 12,000 acre Tocks Island Reservoir, six miles above the Gap. |
