Home of Barksdale Theatre since 1953. Built in early 18th century. Owners included Wm. Parks of Williamsburg, printer-founder of Virginia Gazette and John Shelton, father-in-law of Patrick Henry who lived here at time of "Parson's Cause" Trial. During Revolutionary War, Cornwall is stayed here and later George Washington. A Virginia Historic Landmark.
