This castle was built by Geo. C. Boldt as a summer residence about 60 years ago. After spending about $2,000,000 he suddenly stopped work on the death of his wife, and it was never finished. It is one of the main attractions of the 1000 Islands and is open to the public. The recently authorized Billion Dollar St. Lawrence Seaway will pass through the 1000 Islands
